BROMOTRIFLUORO-METHANE
Bromotrifluoromethane (CBrF3) is a weakly polar molecule that has 58 electrons. The electronic polarizability is 6.45 × 10−40 F m2 (see Beran and Kevan, 1969), the dipole moment is 0.65 D, and the ionization potential is 11.40 eV. The vibrational modes of the molecule are shown in Table 49.1. The vibrational polarizability is 1.2 × 10−40 F m2 (see Bishop and Cheung, 1982).
