DEUTERATED METHANE
CONTENTS
Deuterated methane (CD4) (synonym perdeuteromethane) has deuterium substituted for hydrogen atoms in methane. It is a stable compound, highly flammable, and readily forms explosive mixture with air. CD4 molecule has four fundamental vibrational modes as shown in Table 54.1.
