Tribromomethane (CHBr3), synonym bromoform, is an electron-attaching, polar molecule having 112 electrons. It has electronic polarizability of 13.13 × 10−40 F m2, dipole moment of 0.99 D, and ionization potential of 10.48 eV. It has six vibrational modes (Shimanouchi, 1972) as shown in Table 72.1.
