Dibromodifluoroethane (C2H2Br2F2) is an electron-attaching gas that has 102 electrons. The calculated electronic polarizability is 6.33 × 10−40 F m2 (see Barszczewska et al., 2004).
Table 96.1 shows the attachment rate constants and Figure 96.1 shows the attachment rate constants as a function of mean energy (Sunagawa and Shimamori, 1995). The attachment cross sections are deconvoluted from the attachment rate constants.
The main ions observed are Br- and with peak at zero energy (Sunagawa and Shimamori, 1995). Table 96.2 and Figure 96.2 show attachment cross sections.
