Formic acid (CH2O2) is a vapor with 24 electrons. Its electronic polarizability is 3.78 × 10−40 F m2, dipole moment is 1.425 D, and ionization potential is 10.88 eV. The molecule has nine modes of vibration as shown in Table 60.1.
