Two Predictors of High Performance

Psychologists have found that the two most important predictors of high achievement in adulthood are positive expectations on the part of the parents combined with a democratic family environment.

Since adults are just children with better excuses, as we say, the same two qualities that predict high-achieving young people are the same two qualities that determine a high-performance work environment: positive expectations and a democratic environment.
