How Brainstorming Works
Once each table generates from fifty to eighty ideas in answer to a specific question, stop the exercise and take a break. After the break, have each recorder pass the ideas from that table to the leader at the next table. The leader then leads an exercise to discuss and evaluate the quality of each of the ideas generated by the other table.
In this situation, there is no ego involvement, because no one at the table had contributed any of the ideas under discussion. At the end of the session, the very best ideas, determined by consensus, are then presented to the whole group by each table.
