I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ACTION EXERCISES
1. Take the time to actively engage employees in their work by sharing, discussing, and encouraging each employee to participate with you in determining the best way to perform the task or to achieve the goal.
2. Seek every way to have employees accept personal ownership of the job by asking questions, encouraging them, and listening to them when they want to talk. The more they can discuss the work with you, the more committed they will be to doing the job and doing it well.
