I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ACTION EXERCISES
1. Select one person on your team who shows excellent potential and take the time to meet with that individual for ten minutes at least once a week. Offer to help with this individual’s career in any way possible.
2. Look around you and select someone you like and admire who is more knowledgeable and experienced than you in your field. Get together with this person for coffee and ask if you can call for advice once or twice a month. This can be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
