It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Project management (PM) describes the process of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing an assignment that is temporary in nature. The assignment may involve designing a new software program, constructing a building, implementing a new marketing strategy, or doing any other activity that is not part of the ongoing operations of a business.
