A well-designed consulting project is a set of integrated activities that is orchestrated into a strategy. Generic activities might include, for example, writing proposals, doing research, developing software, building a prototype, conducting various project meetings, making presentations, and writing reports. Within each of these are more specific activities and detailed tasks, all of which must add up to a coherent whole. Crafting and executing these activities is the essence of a consulting strategy.
