Conclusion
In this chapter we have explored a number of actions needed to mobilize the project team. We have examined aspects of a consultant’s leadership, communications, work planning, risk assessment, and kick-off meetings to launch a consulting project. In Chapter Seven we turn to the task of building a consulting team.
We have seen that it is the responsibility of the consultant to be in the alignment role to find the most appropriate and best resources for the consulting work, shape how things will be managed, clarify roles and responsibilities, and help everyone to contribute to producing a smooth and successful work experience.
