It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Stage Three Competencies: Building and Producing
It is hard to make stage three run smoothly, because once the action starts, original project plans rarely reflect the reality of getting things done. Clients fear mismanaged project plans, delays in deliverables, cost overruns, mismanaged expectations, or results that lack value.
Table 8.1 shows the three competencies and twelve behavioral practices associated with the building stage and the producing role in the consulting cycle.
