Campus area networks

When we think of a campus, we usually think of a university campus or a high school campus. However, large organizations such as Google and Microsoft refer to each of their physical locations as a campus. Both uses of the term are correct when discussing a CAN. A CAN is a network that connects multiple LANs within a defined geographical area, such as a university site.
