I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
MAC filtering
MAC filtering is another often suggested way of protecting wireless networks. MAC filtering is the process of identifying devices that are permitted on your network by their MAC address. If you don't recognize the MAC address, they are not coming onto your network. This is relatively simple to set up on a small network, but on a larger network where there may be thousands of wireless devices, it is unlikely to be as simple.
The other downfall to this method is that it is relatively simple for an attacker to identify the authorized MAC addresses on a network, de-authenticate a device, and spoof its MAC address.
