The LMHOSTS file is the NetBIOS names equivalent to the hosts files that are used by FQDN and is stored in the same location. It is unlikely that you will ever need to configure one of these files, and the exam doesn't go into in-depth details. It is safe for you to just know what it does.
Windows provides a sample file called Lmhosts.sam that you can edit and save as LMHOSTS. As you can see in the following screenshot, it looks a little more complex than the hosts file. However, we will just look at one section of it:
