So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
FTP
FTP does exactly what its name implies. It allows you to transfer files from one device to another using ports 20 and 21. Don't mistake this kind of protocol for your organization's network shares system because the latter is more likely to be a Server Message Block (SMB).
To use FTP, we need to have an FTP server application installed on the server hosting the files we wish to access and we must be running an FTP client ourselves.
