Considerations

When implementing any network, it is important to take a number of factors into consideration to ensure your network runs efficiently. A non-exhaustive list is as follows:

• Budget: This constraint will dictate how much you can spend on equipment, any third-party support you receive, time frames, and so on.
• Skill set: Do you have staff with the necessary skill set to implement and maintain the network?
• Existing infrastructure: Do you want to integrate with the existing infrastructure or replace it?
• Hardware: What equipment do you want to use for end users, network devices, and so on? Are they compatible with each other?
