So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Iterative DNS queries
With an iterative DNS query, the client sends its query to the DNS server that it is configured to use. The DNS server will check its own cache and records and will either respond with the IP address in question or tell you that it doesn't know the IP address for the FQDN being queried.
