Project management provides a structure to track the progress of a project. Any delays in an activity on the critical path delay the completion date for the entire project. Projects, such as introducing new products, can be undertaken by a supply chain. Communication among members of the chain to ensure a timely completion of the project is critical. Given that members of the supply chain share information, as well as a common database, all members should have real-time access to the project's progress.
