を経由することを解説しました。ここで経由するメールサーバーは 1 つだけ
とは限りません。複数のメールサーバーが中継してやり取りする中で、悪意の
ある第三者によって途中で盗み見られたり、改ざんされたりする可能性はない
のでしょうか？【図 6-1】
メールの送信や転送に使用する SMTP は名前の通り「シンプルにメールを
転送するプロトコル」であり、電子メールを平文（暗号化されていない状態）
