SMTPサーバーの構築
■ Postfix をインストールする
一般的なプロバイダを使用していれば、プロバイダが提供するメールサー
バーを使用してメールを送信できます。また、レンタルサーバーを使うのであ
れば、その事業者が用意しているメールサーバーを使うだけです。
このため、独自ドメインを使うときも自分でメールサーバーを構築する機会
は減りました。しかし、メールのしくみを知るうえではメールサーバーを構築
することで学ぶことが多いものです。
ここでは、VPS（Virtual Private Server）を使ってメールサーバーを構築
することを考えます。1 日単位で数十円から契約できる VPS の事業者もあり
ますので、自分に合ったサービスを契約してください。もちろん、自宅で余っ
ているパソコンに Linux を導入して構築することもできます。
第 2 章で解説した 25 番ポートによる送信を試したい場合は、自宅にある
使用していないパソコンなどに Linux を導入してメールサーバーを構築す
る方法の他、複数の VPS を契約し、一方の VPS からメールサーバーを構
築した VPS に接続する方法があります。
・SMTP サーバーを構築するとき
・Postfix を VPS 上の Linux にインストールするとき
・一般的なメールソフトからメールを送信できるように SMTP サーバー
を設定するとき
