■ マルウェアの添付
メールにファイルを添付できると便利ですが、メリットだけではありません。
メールのしくみを悪用されることによる、セキュリティ面におけるデメリット
も考えられます。
たとえば、悪意のあるファイルをメールに添付される可能性があります。こ
のようなコンピュータやネットワークを攻撃するために作成されたファイルを
マルウェアといいます。マルウェアには、表 4-5 のような種類があります。

マルウェアの種類 特徴
ウイルス
他のプログラムに寄生して動作することで、他のコンピュータや
ネットワークに感染する。
ワーム
単独で自己複製することで、他のコンピュータやネットワークに
感染する。
トロイの木馬
正規のプログラムに偽装して、コンピュータやネットワークに侵
入する。
スパイウェア コンピュータやネットワーク上の情報を盗む。
アドウェア
広告を表示するだけでなく、個人情報の収集やコンピュータの動
作の遅延などの被害をもたらす。
