Credible positioning depends on differentiation and again this must be dynamic. In other words, the difference must be maintained even as competitors attack. Inferior competitors will try to draw parallels. Yet in the customer’s mind there must be clear, continuing and relevant differentiation in order to justify higher prices.
If you think you have a ‘price problem’, it may be more to do with the rest of the proposition failing to justify the price in comparison with rivals.
