What a rising price says about you
The price today compared with the price last week can also convey a message. We saw earlier that where the price trend is downward, it is necessary to give customers a reason to buy today rather than delay the purchase. Price deflation in Japan has made life difficult for many industries where purchasers simply hold back for the next price drop. By contrast, an upward price trend is a positive encouragement to customers to buy now. Industrial tenders with short validity periods may encourage buyers to commit lest the price goes up.
