新しい本が入ってきたら、データベースに本のタイトルや作者名、ジャ
ンル、棚の位置などを登録しておきます。その内容をもとにして、図書館
に置いてある端末やWebサイトから目的の本を探し出すことができるよ
うになっています。
また、カウンターで本を借りるときや返すときは、誰が、どの本を、い
つ貸し借りしたかという情報をデータベースに記録しています。そのおか

スマホやPCから手軽にお買い物ができるショッピングサイトでもデー

サイトを開くと出てくる商品は、どれもタイトルや画像URL、カテゴ
リ、価格、紹介文といった情報がデータベースに保存されています。素早
くカテゴリや価格で絞り込むことができたり、並べ替えたりできるのもデ
ータベースのおかげです。
商品以外に、誰が、いつ、どの商品を購入したかという購入情報もデー
タベースに記録しておくことで、
