オンプレミスの方式で運用する場合は、
必要があります。そのため、7-1のような物理的脅威に備え
るために注意しておくこととして、以下のような点が挙げられます（図
6-3）。

電源が断たれてしまうとシステムは完全にストップしてしまいま
す。そのため停電に備えて、無停電電源装置（UPS）や非常用の自家
発電装置などを検討する必要があります。

使用しているOSやソフトウェアの脆弱性を突いて、ウイルスによ
る不正なアクセスや攻撃が行われるケースがあります。日々最新の修
正プログラムやパッチを適用したり、ウイルスソフトの導入を検討し
たりします。

オンプレミスの場合はシステムの導入や運用をすべて自社で行うこ
とになるため、コストがかかる場面は多岐にわたります。例えばサー
バやソフトウェア、ライセンスの購入費用や、運用を行う技術者の採
用、セキュリティ対策の費用や電気代、機器が故障したり古くなった
りした際の交換費用など、あらかじめ整理しておく必要があるでしょ
う。
