Purpose/Objectives: Most supervisors develop a style they use when discuss-
ing performance with employees. Incorporated into this
style are specific strategies that have proven successful
for the supervisor in the past. However, these strategies
for performance may not work in all situations. Difficult
employees or unusual situations require managers to use
special handling in some performance interviews.
