212 – Giving Positive Feedback
Purpose/Objectives: Most managers recognize how important it is to give
positive feedback on performance. Many, however, feel
uncomfortable doing so. This is probably because they
lack the verbal skills necessary to put their thoughts
into words. This exercise develops positive feedback
skills. Participants are asked to write positive feedback
responses for given situations. They are then asked to
read what they have written, so they can compare their
responses and share ideas with each other.
