232 – Prioritizing Objectives or Tasks
Purpose/Objectives: Managers and supervisors usually must try to accomplish
a number of objectives all at the same time. That
means the skill of setting priorities becomes crucial to
management effectiveness, especially when objectives
(or tasks) appear to be equally important.
This exercise presents participants with a practical
system for prioritizing numerous objectives, tasks,
and/or activities. By using the system, participants can
clarify which objectives/tasks need to be tackled first,
according to the key criteria of “urgency” and
“importance.”
