
221 – Face-to-Face Communication
Purpose/Objectives: In this role-play exercise, participants practice their
communication skills in a variety of hypothetical man-
ager/ employee situations. The challenge is for partici-
pants to communicate effectively and as they would
when talking with others on the job.
Participants work in groups of three—manager, employee,
and observer. With the aid of prewritten role sheets
that describe work-related situations, the managers and
employees discuss their problem situations as the
