Purpose/Objectives: Sharing information with staff is an effective tool that
managers can use to build motivation. But it is
important for managers to know what to share and how
to share it.
In this two-part exercise, participants first read a list of
15 examples of information often given to managers.
They are asked to indicate with a “Yes” for information
a manager should pass along to the staff and a “No” for
information a
manager should not pass along.
Then, in Part II, participants review the “Yes” items and
select the best of five alternative methods for sharing
