The central tenet of the 6Ds is that training produces business value only when it is transferred and applied to the work of the individual and enterprise. The third discipline, Deliver for Application, is about ensuring that the delivery of the training itself—in terms of method, medium, sequence, timing, participation, and so forth—facilitates its subsequent application on the job. It requires discipline to deliver training in ways that are the easiest to learn and apply, as opposed to the easiest to design and teach.
