Add a Sprite node to Player. Drag the res://assets/player_sheet.png file from the FileSystem dock and drop it in the Texture property of the Sprite. The player animation is saved in the form of a sprite sheet:
You'll use AnimationPlayer to handle the animations, so in the Animation properties of Sprite, set Vframes to 1 and Hframes to 19. Set Frame to 7 to begin, as this is the frame that shows the character standing still (it's the first frame of the idle animation):
