So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
TileSet configuration
In the assets folder you downloaded at the beginning of the project is a tilesets folder. It contains three ready-made TileSet resources using the 16x16 art for the game:
- tiles_world.tres: Ground and platform tiles
- tiles_items.tres: Decorative items, foreground objects, and collectibles
- tiles_spikes.tres: Danger items
It is recommended that you use these tile sets to create the levels for this project. However, if you would rather make them yourself, the original art is in res://assets/environment/layers. See Chapter 2, Coin Dash, to review how to create a TileSet resource.
