Try running the scene with your cube mesh. Where is it? In 3D, you won't see anything in the game viewport without using a Camera. Add one, and use the camera's gizmo to position and point it towards the cube, as in the following screenshot:

The pinkish-purple, pyramid-shaped object is called the camera's fustrum. It represents the camera's view, and can be made narrow or wide to affect the camera's field of view. The triangular arrow at the top of the fustrum is the camera's up direction.
