Bridges, William. 2003. Managing transitions: Making the most of change. 2nd ed. Da Capo Press.
The author is a general transition management expert rather than someone well versed in software development. His book is a standard on how individuals deal with transitions and contains a wealth of information on letting go of the past. There is also strong coverage of moving through what the author calls the “neutral zone,” that time between when the old has been abandoned yet the new approach is not established.
