I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Rotating faces and making manual adjustments
Another thing you can do is rotate individual faces so they are pointing the right way. An example is the face that is going to lead to the pinky finger. I can rotate just that face so it is at a better orientation. The steps are as follows:
- In Edit Mode, make sure the Face Select icon is picked. Right-click on the face to select it.
- Hit R for rotate and then Z to tell Blender you want to rotate around the Z axis. Use the mouse to point the face in a better direction:
