Joining and making new faces

Once all the vertices we need for the template are copied, we'll want to join them together into a single object. The steps are as follows:

1. If necessary, switch to Object Mode.
2. It might be helpful to temporarily hide the original objects. In the Outliner window on the right side of the screen, click on the eye icon to the right of any object to toggle its visibility.
3. Right-click on one of the objects with copied vertices to select it. Holding down the Shift key, right-click on the remaining copied objects to select them.
4. In the Object menu at the bottom of the screen, click Join to make the selections into a single object:
