When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Rotating the Empties
Both of my empty objects are side by side, which won't help me much when making a 3D model. We can rotate them as we learned in Chapter 4 , Flattening a Torus and Boolean Union. To keep everything intuitive as we model, I recommend rotating the empty objects so that they stay in conjunction with the common viewpoints. It'll be easier for me to visualize and navigate if I have the front image of the house synced with the View | Front menu option.
The steps for rotating the empty with the front of the house are as follows:
- If necessary, switch to Object Mode and right-click on the empty you wish to rotate to select it.
