I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Deleting vertices in the cylinder
We can put these concepts to use by deleting unnecessary vertices and creating new faces to make our half cylinder. We'll want to keep the topmost and bottommost points of our cylinder, but delete everything on the right-hand side. The steps are as follows:
- If necessary, switch to Object Mode and right-click on our hole to select it.
- Switch to Edit Mode and, if necessary, click the icon to select Vertex Select mode. I also recommend turning off Limit selection to visible so that you can see all of the vertices:
