Just as you can change your viewport and viewing perspective, you can also tell Blender how to shade the objects on the screen by changing the viewport shading. By default, we have been working in Solid mode. The objects are displayed as solids with simple shading. Blender also has a Wireframe mode that only displays the vertices and edges. Without the faces and shading, you can often get a clearer view to evaluate your work:
