It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using Inset and Extrude for fingernails
For the fingernail, I want a slight curve inward going down before the fingernail itself emerges. I'm going to do this with a combination of Inset and Extrude.
The steps are as follows:
- In Edit Mode, make sure there are edges roughly where the fingernail begins and ends. If necessary, you can do an Edge Slide to move an existing edge or a Loop Cut and Slide to add another:
