The Fit Type is how Blender is going to determine how many times to copy your base object. The default is Fixed Count where you specifically type in how many objects you want. If I type in a Count of 5, for example, I will end up with five total bricks.
In the following example, I'm also adjusting the Relative Offset for the X dimension to 1.3. Right now, this is for illustrative purposes to help you see the individual bricks. We'll dig more into spacing the bricks in the Setting the Offset section:
