So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Scaling a model by typing dimensions
With the pendant, I have decided I would like the head to be 1 1/2" high, which is 38.1mm. Referring to the color coding of the grid lines and the axis arrows, I want to update the Y (green) dimension. The steps are as follows:
- If necessary, switch into Object Mode and right-click on your object to select it.
- In the Properties Shelf, under the Transform section, look for Dimensions and click in the Y box. Type in the new dimension and hit Enter or click out of the Y box to commit the change, In this example, I type in 31.8:
