So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In the last chapter, I talked about general principles for decision making and problem solving and explained why the use of specific techniques are useful in helping groups move through this process. In this chapter, I describe techniques to be used for idea generation and idea ranking. As a reminder, each of these techniques can be pulled apart and combined to create a process that works best for your group. I start with techniques for idea generation.
