When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Each of the research-based elements of the Framework for Facilitation is discussed in the chapters that follow starting with Chapter 4, Organization and Planning. Chapter 4 draws together pertinent issues reviewed in the first two chapters of the book into a series of questions that can be used by the facilitator in organizing and planning facilitated groups. Chapter 5 moves into the inner cycle and discusses communication; Chapter 6, task; and Chapter 7, relationships and climate. As we move clockwise around the outer circle, values and ethics are found in Chapter 8, putting this discussion in the middle of the remaining chapters and allowing the reader to have a context for the issues raised.
