Profitable Bidding Strategies

If you are using max CPC bidding, you need to set your own bids. We will walk through some strategies for setting bids. There are a few different places in your account where you should set bids:

  • Ad group for search
  • Ad group for content
  • Keyword for search
  • Placement for content

If you set both keyword and ad group bids, the keyword bid will be used for search. If you set placement and ad group content bids, then if the user is on that placement, the placement bid will be used. If the user clicks on a content ad that you have not placement targeted, the content ad group bid will be used.
