Tree testing
Card sorting is very important for sorting content, but when it comes to structuring this content, it may not be as efficient as users are organizing content with no reference in mind.
As in tree testing they are invited to perform actions (such as finding a specific product) through a clickable sitemap, content structure validation is much more accurate as it is analyzed in practice whether or not the user can perform the tasks.
If navigation problems are subsequently identified through usability tests, these problems are likely to be related to other factors on the page, such as poor word processing and poor usability and element distribution, but these problems are unlikely to be related to the structuring of pages, since ...
