Conceptual prototype

A conceptual prototype is one that does not look at all like the final product version; the visual details and the interface layout are not a priority.

What should be taken into account is the interaction and navigation streams. This type of prototype can look like anything and be made using any kind of material or tool.

Conceptual prototypes are usually used at the beginning of a project in order to validate an idea or function. The most common is the paper prototype, or paper sketches.
